ODD COUPLE
From
Romance To Reality

Do
you need help with your relationship? Are you wanting to develop more intimacy? Are you struggling? This three day workshop offers a deep
exploration of relationship issues. Incorporating story, poetry, exercises and
creative ritual, the days will develop emergently around themes of:
Set
in the western foothills of the Brecon Beacons our work together will provide
adequate opportunities for addressing personal issues,
group work and reflective time in Nature.
In
the face of centuries of gender power struggles, individual dominance and
"normal marital sadism" we will be seeking a clear path through the
forest of twenty-first-century confusions. Join us as we seek to find ways of
developing more soulful, fulfilling and compassionate relationships. If your
relationship is rock solid or shaky, fresh or stale, this workshop will breathe
new life in. There will be no nudity or sexual contact during the exercises in
this workshop. There will be some deep
personal work and ritual. This workshop
is open to anyone interested in exploring loving relationships: be they single,
in a relationship, gay or straight, attending as a couple, or as a therapist
who helps couples.

Juliet
Grayson is a
psychotherapist (UKCP Registered, NLPtCA and COSRT Accredited) who, for the
last 15 years, has specialised in relationship and sexual problems. She
spends half her time at her private practice based in Chepstow. The rest
of the time she travels the country running workshops – to both the corporate
world and to therapists. She loves running workshops on relationships
with her husband, William Ayot, exploring some of the issues and challenges
that couples face.
William
Ayot is a poet,
playwright, international workshop leader and keynote
speaker. He was a founding director of Olivier Mythodrama Associates, who
use Shakespeare to teach about leadership, presentation and character
development. For many years he led initiatory men’s events including Men’s Rites of Passage in Snowdonia.
Writing includes the play ‘Bengal Lancer’ and journalism. His poetry is
widely published, and anthologised - collections include
‘Small Things That Matter’ and ‘The Inheritance.’ He has set up NaCOT:
The National Centre for the Oral Tradition, and directs the ‘On The Border’ series of Poetry Readings in Chepstow, Monmouthshire.
William Ayot gives a tithe of his time to working with those recovering from
addiction. He is a speaker for the National Association of Children of
Alcoholics and a patron of the SWAN project in Bristol.

(we might finish just after lunch, depending on the number of delegates). If you wish to stay on for another night,

COSTS I have separated the
cost of the accommodation from the cost of the workshop. This is for
transparency, though both cheques will be payable to Juliet Grayson at the time
of booking, and it can be made in one cheque.
CANCELLATIONS
There will be
no refund for cancellations made within 60 days of the event. Any cancellation before that will be subject
to a 12% handling charge). In the event
of us needing to cancel the workshop for any reason you will be given a full
refund, but we will not be held liable for any other expenses.
